Ceylinco Sarana Fund provides Rs.500,000 for treatment to ailing Ananda in Lebanon

Colombo, 18 August, (Asiantribune.com): Ministry of Foreign Affairs in consultation with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beirut coordinated the transfer of financial assistance received from the Ceylinco Sarana Fund to Mr. K. Ananda who is undergoing medical treatment at Notre Dame Hospital in Lebanon.

The Ceylinco Sarana Fund had agreed to provide financial assistance for an amount of Rs. 500,000 to cover up a part of his medical bill.

The Consular Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided the consular assistance and accepted the cheque from the Ceylinco Sarana Fund to transfer to Sri Lanka Embassy in Beirut.

The cheque was handed over to the officials of the Consular Division at a ceremony held recently at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Ceylinco Sarana Fund is a private charity organization and initiated a special project to assist Sri Lankan expatriates who need the assistance for their grievance.
