Reputed Huawei Chinese mobile phones now in Sri Lanka

Colombo, 03 August, (Asiantribune.com): Access International (Pvt) Ltd and Huawei Technologies Co Ltd have introduced to Sri Lanka the ‘Third Generation’ (3G) Huawei Mobile Phones and data cards that is already used by more than one billion worldwide and the official launch has taken place at the Waters Edge Hotel.

Huawei turnover in 2005 exceeded US $ 8.2 billion and has a workforce of over 40,000 working world over. Huawei had a turnover of over US$ 8.2 billion in 2005 of which 58 percent came from international markets where they have a presence in over 70 countries.

P Sanjeev, Product Manager – Terminals, Huawei Technologies Lanka Co (Pvt) Ltd (HTLCL), told The Nation Economist said Huawei is a complete Telecommunications Service Provider like other worldwide reputed Telecom products. He said HTCL is the leading provider of next generation telecom network solutions to operators around the world.

He said they are a preferred supplier of telecom equipment to the Global giant Voda phone and we launch 3G mobile phones and data cards in Sri Lanka, Huawei will further strengthen their existing presence providing CDMA facilities to Suntel and Lankabell.

Ranjan Gomez, Joint Managing Director, Access International said they are confident the new generation smart Huawei 3G is one step ahead in technology and offers full benefits of the latest technology by Huawei

Uniqueness in Huawei is that more concentration is for after-sales, Research and Development as 48 percent of the 40,000 strong workforce world-over are dedicated to these services. Huawei has set up research institutes in India, USA, Sweden, China and Russia. A common factor between Huawei and Access is they pay special attention to employees as their most important asset.
