BOI toy manufacturing project to produce high quality educational baby toys

Colombo, 23 January, (Asiantribune.com): The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka granted investment approval to Toymakers (Private) Limited to manufacture educational toys. Mr. Dhammika Perera, Chairman / Director General signed the agreement on behalf of the BOI and formally presented the BOI Certificate of Registration to Mr. Arnold Fehn, Director of the company.

Toymakers (Private) Limited signed the agreement to manufacture baby educational toys for children aged between 0-3 years. The toy manufacturing project is sponsored by German investors.

Educational baby toys are "tools" that help build and develop a child's fundamental skills. These toys have been proven to encourage self-confidence, creativity, coordination, emotional and social resilience, language development and academic skills.

Educational toys are a novel way to encourage children to learn.

Toymakers provides unique and enjoyable educational toys that any child would love and includes a wide array of toys that would benefit children from the ages of 0-3 years old. Educational toys and baby toys fall into a variety of categories and encourage the development of different skills sets.

The company also operates Paradise Toys, another toy manufacturing plant. Paradise Toys, is a BOI enterprise that has been in operation in Sri Lanka for over 13 years. The company's manufacturing plant is located at Kerawalapitiya and has a work force of over 2400 employees.

The baby toys manufactured by Toymakers will be exported to markets in the European Union and USA. This project is an investment of Rs. 170 million that will generate 350 new employment opportunities. Director of the company Mr. Arnold Fehn signed the agreement on behalf of the company. Mr. Neil Fernando, General Manager was also present at the occasion.
