CCC sponsors Economic Summit to discuss opportunities and challenges

Colombo, 24 April, (Asiantribune.com): The Sri Lanka Economic Summit, a much looked forward to event in the Corporate Calendar, is now underway. This year marks its 10th anniversary. The technical sessions will be held from July 1- 2, 2009 at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo and the inauguration takes place at the same venue on June 30th.

This Summit, organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, attracts eminent speakers, political leaders and diplomats for the technical sessions which tackle timely and helpful topics, complete with key note speakers and panel discussions.

The Sri Lanka Economic Summit is acknowledged as a forerunner among the events of national importance hosted by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

The theme of this year’s Summit, is “Uncertain Times Opportunity or Challenge” have several stimulating topics, such as:

"Impact of the Economy and Planning in a Downturn", Financial Crisis – Challenges for the Banking and Financial Sector, Agriculture, Fisheries and Dairy Sector- Opportunities for the private Sector, North East Accelerated Socio and Economic Development, Meltdown and Impact on Employment", Building on ICT English Sri Lanka as a "Knowledge Economy", Governance Challenges for the Public and Private Sector and 2020 Vision for Sri Lanka – A Discussion with young Parliamentarians.
