Taliban seized important government buildings in Mingora, start patrolling

Peshawar, 04 May, (Asiantribune.com): Militants from Tehrik-e-Taliban of Pakistan have started patrolling Mingora town of Swat on Sunday.

According to sources the militants have seized many important government buildings for use as bases and have started patrolling Mingora town.

Meanwhile, unknown men blew up a government boys’s school while armed assailants broke into Mingora Grid Station.

Heavy exchange of fire also took place between security forces and militants during which a power transformer was damaged resulting in the suspension of electricity to many areas.

Bodies of two security personnel have been found in Tehsil Khwazakhela while unknown men have set on fire three trucks in Babu Klay.

Beheaded bodies of two security men have been found in Alam Ganj area of Tehsil Khwazakhela.

Meanwhile night curfew has been imposed in Swat from 9 pm Sunday to 6 am Monday.

Meanwhile the spokesman of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Swat Muslim Khan has said militants will not lay down arms.

In his statement, Muslim Khan said US president Obama has hinted at abolishment of Islamic rule from Swat and vowed to keep themselves armed if US advances into Pakistan for the abolishment of any system.
