Twenty five centuries ago the unprecedented epoch was dawned to the globe with the Fully Enlightenment of Siddhartha Gotama the Buddha. The birth as a prince to the royal family was a unique reward and the greatest incomparable gift to the human society.
Though King Suddhodana, his father was extremely careful to prevent him from seeing the reality and the true nature of things, his pre-destined energy and the prolonged practice opened the avenues and the path to see the true nature of the world.
In the prime of his youth, he left all comforts and facilities which ordinary people pursue to multiply and accumulate with insatiable desire.
The effort and the determination he had, was indescribable that he constantly continued till his remarkable goal was accomplished.
At the age of thirty five, he became a Buddha, Awakened One by eradicating all defilements and impurities which continuously make us suffer and also pave the way to be reborn in another destination.
His incomparable and unsurpassed teachings are always fresh and compatible with time. The Buddha has uniquely pointed out the ability and capability of human mind that could be cultivated and developed up to the Buddhahood. The Blessed One always encouraged people to not to waste their potentiality.
He was the only Master who guided others to examine and scrutinize one’s own mind.
Jealousy, hatred, craving, grudges, resentment, animosity, aversion, antagonism, are the driving forces towards conflicts, violence and warfare in the human society today. Most of us are mentally sick with above mentioned sicknesses which very dangerous and perilous. Neither a remedy nor medication can be found to cure these mental afflictions. What the Buddha once said was "Cleanse one’s own mind"
In his many discourses, he has mentioned the way to uproot impurities which defile our minds.
The Buddha’s words are kind and they are full of loving-kindness. He never used any word to condemn or hurt anyone in his life. They are true words. Every single word is profoundly soothing and consoling.
He was born in India in to the Sakyan clan. The Buddha and his profound teachings are universal. There are many pious followers who tread the eight fold path he showed us with great respect in the globe today.
Once the Blessed One said: "Greed, hatred, and delusion are the inner stains, inner enemies, inner foes, inner murderers, inner adversaries and further more he stated that these three impurities do not know the good, do not see the Dhamma, they are causes of misfortune, agitate the mind and people do not understand these as dangers produced within".
If you really want to be a true and genuine Buddhist try your best to understand your inner environment (mind) and endeavour to root out weeds of jealousy, hatred, grudges and so on and not to implant and allow to grow any impurity once more.
Jealousy is a cancer.
Hatred is a tumour.
Craving is a disastrous sickness.
Fortunately for us the Blessed One has found the remedies and therapies for all those sicknesses. We should do nothing but to use his teachings and practise the way out of these miseries of life to cure and purify our minds.
“He who is friendly amidst the hostile, peaceful amidst the violent, and unattatched amidst the attatched – him do I call a holy man”. Dhammapada.
May all beings be well and happy!
