Colombo, 19 May, (Asiantribune.com):Britain has issued an angry rebuke to the Sri Lankan Government after protesters held a massive demonstration outside the British High Commission in Colombo yesterday.
The High Commission said it was an "outrage" that the demonstration was allowed to turn violent and damage British property.
The protest came after an effigy of British Foreign Secretary David Miliband was set on fire by the angry Sri Lankan demonstrators who demanded that the British Government should not interfere in the internal affairs of Sri Lanka. The demonstrators also accused the British Government of supporting the LTTE in spite of it being banned in the UK.
Protesters threw rotten eggs and stones at the embassy compound, and the effigy of the South Shields MP Miliband was set on fire before being thrown over the walls of the British Embassy.
The protest was a day after the British government said it would give another £5m in aid to Sri Lanka.

I'm sure the British Govt now knows how the Sri Lankan Govt feels when the SL High Commission in Britain was attacked.
UK should understand that in
UK should understand that in our country, just like in UK, the masses are free to demonstrate, burn effigies or even to stone embassies. Further, just like in UK, the few police officers present, tried their best to stop, but their effort was in vain. We are simply following your example. After all, you want us to be “civilized” like you!

The British are mono visioned when it comes to terrorists. Sri Lanka had the most brutal terrorists for the longest time. Some are now imported by the UK and they are burning Buddhist temples, attacking foreign missions such as India, Sri Lanka, China and running amock in the streets. Whey are you not reprimanding the Tamil Diaspora who are now your citizens when they are causing bodily harm and destroying property?
We cannot understand your double standards. You have an obligation to your citizens and their safety. As a Sinhalese I don't feel safe on the streets of London. You ignore those who are the silent majority and pander to the wild minority who are the scum in the streets. No wonder the British people are so prejudiced against immigrants. They see only the wild ones and not those who are educated and dignified. Why do you support the followers of a proscribed terrorist organization? They are saying so much about the civilians, they contributed to all the weapons to destroy their own civilians, now their displaced people need help. Not a dime are they contributing. Instead they are so full of hatred. Lord Nesby said a mouthful on video. Thank you. You are one of the few sensible politicians who can understand this wild and brutal bunch. Wait a little while more, you will be facing demands for Elam and suicide bombs if you let them get away with this. Give the small finger and they take your body and your land.
They should leave Sri Lanka alone. All of them took their kith and kin in plane loads when they came over. They left no one there to care so much. They cared only about their terrorist leader who duped them for all their money and make his family very rich on the blood sweat and tears of tamil people. Even the human shields were relieved of cash and jewelery. Did you see the bags of money and weapons recovered? Whose money is that? From which countries did it come to destroy a democratic country.
The Tamils claiming discrimination and Genocide have not come forward with any tangible evidence. Give some numbers and say, so many didn't get in to university because of race. At the same time count those who have done well and compare if it is any different to any other ethnic group. Count the property owners, count the businesses and see if there are any who have not been able to run a business for being Tamil? Count the doctors, engineers and other professionals and see what proportion of them received free education out of the entire population. What do they lack that the Sinhalese are enjoying? When you go to buy a house, a car, or in any other way -- are you asked to stand in a different line if you are Tamil? The African Americans in the USA lived with that till as recently as the 1960s. They didn't start an armed struggle? They couldnot sit in the front of a bus, they were not served in restaurants, they had separate public toilets. Did anyone who is Tamil get treated that way in Sri Lanka. No. Never. But you all lie to the world all the way.

Not even a dog cares that UK is angry. British blood suckers sucked our blood for 150 years, and then gave us the LTTE disease, which we have treated and cured ourselves with local remedies.
Where were these UK ass-holes when LTTE f_ckers attacking our High Commission in London and Kingsberry temple?
There should be more and more protests in Sri Lanka against British, until they leave this country putting their own finger in their own ass!!!

There is a one difference in Colombo protests to the London protests, Sri Lanka didn't have to spend 1.8 million sterling to control them!
