Colombo, 19 May, (Asiantribune.com):The dead body of LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran 
Prabhakaranhas been identified by the Army today, said General Sarath Fonseka, Commander of the Army.
His dead body was shown this afternoon on National TV – Rupavahini.
The dead body was with wide open eyes, but the head was covered with a towel, perhaps due to the head injury in the shooting by the Army. There was a deep wound on his forehead. The rest of the bulky body was intact. His identity card was also shown.
Prabhakaran - no more R.I.P.General Sarath Fonseka said the finding of the dead body of Prabhakaran was an event of pride to the Army because of the mayhem and destruction caused by him to the people of Sri Lanka for the last 30 years.
Meanwhile the Government of India has requested an official confirmation from the Sri Lanka Government about the death of Prabhakaran and Pottu Amman to enable India to close Court proceedings in the Rajiv Gandhi murder case in India, stated a Foreign Ministry official.
Meanwhile ‘Tamil Net’ has stated that Prabhakaran is still alive, perhaps in their frustration to face the truth, and in the furtherance of their false propaganda.

Why do Tamils lie all the time. This is a disgraceful conduct. I have many tamil friends, but how can I trust them when I see and hear of these lies. First discrimination, sometime ago "mass graves" then ..... more recently "genocide", now "Praba is alive".
How many more lies I am going to hear in my life time?
Are they born to lie? I have never heard of that many lies from any community in that I met in the whole world.
Those who live by the sword, die by the sword. What happens to Tamils who live by lying?

We MUST NOT glorify the death of this man. However evil he has been. We should not celebrate the death of humans whatever their actions. Since death is common to us ALL and unavoidable.
It is sad to see this type of men who order others to kill, maim, bomb others do NOT face death bravely themselves.
Compare the account of the death of Monaravila Keppetipola Disawa in 1818. Beheaded by the British.
He came forward and accepted who he was knowing full well that he would be executed by the captors the British. His advice to the executioner was kill him with a single blow.....

but we should see why KP the LTTE arms procurer and all LTTE front organizations are lieing, because their future is doomed. They will not have the illegal "tax" money, no more!, their luxurious lifestyle is at a dead end, no international recognition, nobody would care who they are!.
What is to be seen is, whether the diaspora tamils would help the innocent civilian tamils in the north to rebuild their lives?
What has the diaspora tamils done for the sake of these internally displaced people, thier own people?
we, sinhalese collected truck loads and truck loads of food, medicine and clothes for them, and we continue to do so even now, and we take the responsibility of taking care of them, but what did the tamils in these foreign countries do?
At least now, its not too late, the tamils in foreign countries should give their hand to rebuild the lost lives!.

In a sense it was the extremely stupid declaration by LTTE International Head KP that Prabhakaran was still alive and at an undisclosed location, in the attempt once more to shame the Sri Lankan Army with the suggestion that it was resorting to fabrication, that pushed the Army into doing what it had no intention to do: display pics of the very recognizeable dead face of the Tiger Leader for all the world to see - to prove that he was indeed DEAD.
The Army could have done so earlier but stepped back and was supercautious as it waited for the results of DNA Tests to confirm the Tiger leader's identity. They had no intention of making a ghoulish display, but once again the LTTE itself made the miscalculation. LTTE supporters now have the dead face of their leader in all the world's TV news. Even in the death of their Leader, the Tigers could not avoid grotesque fabrications aimed at slinging mud at the SL Army and also to keep the LTTE movement alive.
But the lies have ricocheted on the LTTE themselves.
