Kent Härstedt - Swedish Parliamentarian in Colombo

Stockholm, 30 May, (Asian Tribune.com): A Swedish Member ofKent HärstedtKent Härstedt Parliament Kent Härstedt and the Swedisn Channel 4 TV Crew members are in Colombo today to promote Swedish – Sri Lanka relationship and to explore ways and means of providing humanitarian support to Sri Lanka.

Kent Härstedt is from the Social Democratic Party and also the member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee for Foreign Affairs.

He has visited Sri Lanka numerous times and also is one of the leading Swedish Parliamentarian in the ‘Swedish – Sri Lankan Friendship organization’.

He is said to be the shadow foreign Minister of Sweden, and is visiting Sri Lanka to meet Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rohitha Bogollagama, followed by a meeting with Mahinda Rajapaksa, President of Sri Lanka.

Kent Härstedt is visiting Sri Lanka on the invitation of the Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister.

With Sri Lanka President Kent Härstedt is expected to discuss bilateral relationship between the two countries and also a future role for Sweden as facilitator of humanitarian issues.

Kent Härstedt, one of the senior Parliamentarians from Sweden is expected to visit Sri Lanka Parliament and would meet with the Speaker of the Parliament.

He will be visiting the IDP camps in Vavuniya and also visit the hospitals in Colombo to meet with the injured Sri Lankan military cadres.
