Patricia Butenis

A commentary By L. Jayasooriya

Every country in this world has the full spectrum of the human being, from the noble to the downright low and despicable. Kenneth Galbraith who was the American ambassador for India some years ago is an example of a noble person from a good breed and with good educationRobert O Blake, though he did everything possible to malign us and harm us never used offensive language reflecting his level of breeding but he was basically a cowardly man who never responded to the public while he took advantage of a servile media to give him space to malign us.

Asian Tribune has given us a good background to this woman Butenis sometime ago sufficient to judge the type of woman she is. She will get along so well with the UNP that they may even offer her honorary membership of the party. Robert Blake was insulting us with his unsolicited advice but I do not think he accused us of murder of innocent civilians. This woman has already accused us of murder even before assuming office. If the government has already agreed to her appointment then it will result in demonstrations every time this woman opens her mouth wasting our time.

The only good news today is that Sri Lanka has applied for membership of the Shanghai Corporation a collection of nations similar to NATO but designed primarily to help each other. The application has been enthusiastically welcomed by both Russia and China pointing the direction for future trends driven by external forces unfriendly to us. The more America demonstrates her hostility towards us the faster will the military component of SC develop until we are free from insults.
