Early Kakad Aarati at Shirdi temple on Solar Eclipse day

New Delhi, 18 July (asiantribune.com): Due to Solar eclipse on 22nd of July, timing of early morning prayers has been tweaked at the the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi.

The eclipse starts at 5.58 am and will last till 7.20 pm on that day. So, the Kakad Aarati time and the time for Holy bath will be performed before the eclipse begins, says Kishor More, Executive Officer of the Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan Trust.

In a press statement, More said, Kakad Aarati on the eclipse day would be at 4.30 am. It will be followed by Holy Bath of Shri Sai Baba from 4.55 am to 5.00 am. “Devotees present in the Samadhi temple can have Darshan during this period”, he stated.

According to him, the small aarti ‘Shirdi Maze Pandharpur’ will be between 5.35 am and 5.40 am. The devotees present inside the temple will have to remain inside only.

“The preparation of pooja during eclipse period will be beginning from 5.45 am. The priests will chant the Mantras in front of Sai Baba’s Samadhi from 5.58 am to 7.20 am. Again, the holy bath will be given at 7.25 am. It will be followed by ‘Shirdi Maze Pandharpur’ aarti at 7.40 am. The devotees will be allowed for darshan from 7.45 am.

About other routine at the Samadhi temple, More said, there will be no change. “All aarties and other daily routine programmes will be conducted as per the daily schedule”. He appealed to devotees coming to Shirdi to make a note of the changes on the eclipse day.
