CIMA arrange telecast examination techniques for AL students

Colombo, 20 July, (Asiantribune.com): The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has initiated a novel arrangement to telecast TV programmes in Sinhala and Tamil Advanced Level Examination students on examination techniques over Sirasa and Shakthi TV that would benefit more than 250,000 students.

Advanced Level considered to be the basic qualification and competitive examination to be coped for their careers. Although parents and teachers try to ensure best performance, many students fail to score crucial marks as they do not understand the exact requirements of the examiners.

Presentation techniques, the do’s and don’ts and valuable insights on the examiners requirements will be the topics discussed by a panel featuring senior lectures from the universities in Sri Lanka.

Bradley Emerson, Regional Director, CIMA said that they as a global professional educational body need to understand and support the national education development efforts. This initiative not only address the needs of the students and also support programme where senior lecturers from the universities have been able to communicate to their market how best to perform at this crucial examination.

Lakshmi Jayasinghe, Directors Sales of MTV, said that “Usas Pelata Jayamaga is unique as it is the first time that their channels are directly addressing this target market and he is sure it will bring in a totally different feel to Sirasa and Shakthi TV which will result in a major boost to the station. He also wished that the students would reap the best results by this programme.

The Sinhala programmes will be telecast on Sirasa from 6.00 - 6.30 pm starting 15 July with repeat telecast the next morning at 5.30 am whilst the Tamil programmes will be telecast on Shakthi TV from 20 July.
