A Commentary by L. Jayasooriya

What KP has done to India is not our concern considering the fact that it is India that created Prabakaran to destabilize Sri-Lanka with the intention of annexing our country. The modus operandi was for Prabakaran to create conditions that would enable Indian troops to come to Sri-Lanka so that India could establish Eelam and return. India double crossed Prabakaran and made him a sucker for which Rajiv Gandhi paid the price. That was that.

We are in no way obliged to return KP to India and we should not do so for reasons of our own security because India could use KP to destabilize Sri-Lanka either directly or more likely through America and her allies to achieve the ultimate goal of annexing our country.

So when Mr. Keheliya Rambukwella says that KP would be handed over to India if requested every patriotic citizen who could see the possibilities has very good reasons to be alarmed and apprehensive because KP could wind up in the USA on a request made by the USA and finally emerge in Oslo where Eric Solheim will give citizenship both for KP and his Thai wife. These are not impossibilities. Has Mr. Keheliya Rambukwella forgotten so soon what desperate methods were employed by America and her rallies to save the LTTE hierarchy? What makes Mr. Rambukwella think that America and her allies will not be interested in KP? This is dangerous.

For what reasons do we have to take any chances whatsoever with regard to the security of our country especially when we see that Sri-Lanka is servile to India by the way the politicians speak while India is not only servile to America as we can see but also has deals with America which bind her to America.
