Photography Workshop in Colombo with Swiss Photographer

Colombo, 26 December, (Asiantribune.com): Beat Presser, an eminent Swiss photographer who has published 'Oasis of Silence', a photographic art book on Theravada Buddhism in Southeast Asia including Sri Lanka, will be conducting a free Workshop of Photography on the theme 'My Oasis of Silence' for Sri Lankan professional photographers from 26 February to 10 March 2007, in Colombo.

This workshop is held under the auspices of the Embassy of Switzerland in Sri Lanka, in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute Colombo and Photographic Associations, and has been made possible with the support of Kodak as workshop sponsor. The workshop will be preceded by a photographic exhibition of Beat Presser at the Barefoot Gallery. The events are organized by CrossCulture Colombo

Participants to the workshop will be selected on the basis of their application, accompanied with bio-data and a photographic portfolio. Except equipments, films and accommodation expenses in Colombo, all facilities and material will be provided free of charge by the organizers.

The finale of this workshop will be an exhibition of selected photographs by the participants at the Goethe-Institute, Colombo.
