Air Arabia LLC now flies to Karachi and Peshawar

Colombo, 18 March, (Asiantribune.com):Air Arabia LLC, the first low-fares airline in the Middle East and North Africa, Started its flights to Pakistan with two new destinations, Karachi and Peshawar.

Speaking on the inauguration of flights to Karachi and Peshawar, Mayabj Dhingra, Air Arabia Country Manager in Sri Lanka said that this step is part of their strategic commitment to offer value for money service to the region. He said that they are confident that adding both destinations can effectively cater to the large number of the Pakistani community living out side of Pakistan and to offer an alternative cost effective travel for customers in Pakistan.

Air Arabia was established in February 2003 by an Amiri decree issued by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohamed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates. The company began operations in October of the same year.

Flights schedule to Karachi and Peshawar started earlier this week with two inaugural flights. The frequency of flights to Karachi is three flights a week, departing Sharjah at 11:45 and arriving Karachi at 14:35 local time. Flights depart Karachi at 15:20 and arrive Sharjah at 16:15.

Frequency of flights to Peshawar is two flights a week departing Sharjah at 12:40 and arriving Peshawar at 17:00 local time. Flights depart Peshawar at 17:45 to arrive Sharjah at 20:20.

Air Arabia flights from Colombo offer good onward connection to both Peshawar and Karachi. Frequency of flights to both cities will increase effective April this year.

Current Air Arabia destinations include Aleppo, Damascus and Latakia (Syria); Alexandria, Assiut and Luxor (Egypt); Amman (Jordan); Astana and Almaty (Kazakhstan); Bahrain; Beirut (Lebanon); Colombo (Sri Lanka); Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh (KSA), Doha (Qatar); Istanbul (Turkey); Kabul (Afghanistan); Kathmandu (Nepal); Khartoum (Sudan); Kuwait; Chennai, Jaipur, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur and Thiruvananthapuram (India); Mu scat (Oman); Sana’a (Yemen); Sharjah (UAE); Tehran (Iran),Yerevan (Armenia), Karachi and Peshawar (Pakistan).
