Stalin hands over TESO resolution to President
Resolutions adopted by TESO meet in Chennai were handed over to President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.
The team was led by DMK Ireasurer M.K. Stalin and comprised former Union Minister T.R Baalu among others who gave a copy of the resolution on speedy rehabilitation of war-hit Tamils in Sri Lanka. It was a low-key affair shorn of any provocative remarks on the sensitive issue.
Stalin told reporters in a statement that they had asked the President to convey their views to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Stalin also stated that copies of the TESO resolution was handed over to envoys of UN in New Delhi. Stalin said tomorrow the team will meet important political leaders to put forth their view on resettlement of Tamils.
