Tamer Hosny - Arab world’s Justin Timberlake!
The most loved singer, currently, in the Arab world is 35 year-old Tamer Hosny of Egypt. The handsome artist is called the (US) ‘Justin Timberlake’ of Egypt.
This Cairo born singer is an actor, composer, director, and songwriter. He launched his solo career with the 2004 album ‘Hob’ –Love, which was an instant hit and made him a successful singer of romantic music to earn the nickname ‘King of Generation’ from his fans. In the absence of his father Tamer grew up with an interest in football, like most of the Arabs.
He was actively involved in the game for nearly nine years. As a child, he was a fan of the late legendary singer Abdel Halim Hafez. He graduated from ‘October 6 University’ with a Bachelor’s degree in media studies. His ‘Hob’ album featured the hot number ‘Arrab Habibi’ in 2004. ‘Enayyah Betebbak’ –‘My eyes love you’- released in 2005 was another smashing hit.
In 2007, he released an album with 13 lovely songs and he wrote and composed the all 13 songs, which is a unique effort for a young artist. His 2009 release included an English song titled ‘Come back to me’ this is something which will attract even those not much interested in music, generally. In May 2010 Tamer released the movie ‘Noor Einy’ – The light of my eyes, a romantic comedy.
Tamer Hosny has recorded a new duet song with Snoop Dogg titled ‘Si L Sayed’ and the video was shot in Los Angeles. Tamer married the famous Moroccan singer Bassma Bousil. Tamer wrote in the Facebook that their working relationship turned to friendship and love.
From the year 2002 Tamer has won two or three awards practically every year, totaling 32 awards in all, including ‘The Legend Of The Century’ by Big Apple Music Award, from USA.
This is something unparalleled to any record held by the present or past artists anywhere in the world. All music lovers will not dispute his accumulation of all these awards as he fully deserved them.
Tamer Hosny is highly talented and has a God gifted scintillating voice. He is being dearly loved by millions of his Arabs and non-Arab fans, all over the world.
I personally think that Tamer has fared much better than Justin Timberlake since the latter has already faded away from the music industries. Keep entertaining Tamer, we are looking forward for more of your new hit numbers!
