Sri Lanka told North Korea to refrain from any further nuclear test
Sri Lanka has told categorically that North Korea - Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to refrain from conducting any nuclear test in the future.
This was conveyed in a in a statement released by Sri Lanka Ministry of External Affairs.
The Ministry statement further said-
Begin Quote:In a statement released by Sri Lanka Ministry of External AffairsSri Lanka reiterates its concern about the nuclear test conducted by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on 12th February 2013. Through this act the DPRK has once again violated the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1874 (2009).
Sri Lanka calls on the DPRK to refrain from any action which could compromise peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the progress of the 6 party talks. (End Quote)
