To all interested Theravâda Buddhists.

About 12 days ago, I have sent a letter to the editor of the `Asian Tribune`. In this letter, I have hinted at a connection between the meritorious Theravadan monk, the late Ven. Nyanatiloka, and National Socialism / Antisemitism. I have hinted at it on the base of informations in which I have trusted. There have been many reactions to my letter and in the meantime, it has become clear that the informations in which I have trusted have been wrong. Therefore I dissociate with the accusations I brought about Ven. Nyanatiloka. I apologize for having triggered off the discussion about Ven. Nyanatiloka and for having blamed him. May his reputation be again faultless.

Dr. Marianne Wachs
