Uganda Investment Forum

Nairobi, 24 April, (Asiantribune.com):

Mr. Sarath Amunugama, Senior Minister for International Monitory Co-operation and Dy. Minister of Finance and Planning participated in the Commonwealth Investment Forum held at Kampala, Uganda.

The Minister participated in the forum from 11-12th April 2013. The Minister’s participation at the event assumed greater importance in view of the fact that Sri Lanka is due to host the next Commonwealth Investment Forum in November 2013, on the sidelines of the CHOGM.

The Minister met the President of Uganda, Minister of Trade and also Minister of Finance and exchanged views.

At the end of the Forum, Minister Amunugama addressed the businessmen and entrepreneurs and invited them all to attend the forthcoming Business Forum in Sri Lanka.

Minister Amunugama during the course of his speech highlighted the business and investment opportunities available in Sri Lanka and requested them not to let such rare chances slip by. He further stressed the need for greater cooperation between Africa and Asia.
