President Rajapaksa attends the Sri Lanka – Seychelles business forum

Victoria, 02 July, (Asiantribune.com):

President Mahinda Rajapaksa on his final day of the State Visit to the Republic of Seychelles attended the Sri Lanka – Seychelles business forum this morning (July 1).

President was received at the venue, Kempinski Seychelles Resort, by Mr. Jean – Paul Adam, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Steve Fanny, Principal Secretary of Finance, Trade and Investment, Mr. Marco Francis, Chairman of Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Minister of External Affairs, Prof. G. L. Peiris made the opening remarks and introduced the Sri Lankan delegation.

Governor of Central Bank, Mr. Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Dr. Nalaka Godahewa, Chairman Securities and Exchange Commission made presentations at this Forum.

Mr. Steve Fanny, Principal Secretary of Finance, Trade and Investment and Mr. Marco Francis, Chairman of Seychelles Chamber of Commerce and Industry made presentation for Seychelles.

Following the business forum, President Rajapaksa visited the Seychelles Bio-Diversity Centre accompanied by Minister for Environment and Energy Prof. Rolph Payet. Senior members of the environment sector and NGO’s were present during this visit. To commemorate his visit, President planted a Coco-de-Mer seed at the Bio-Diversity Centre.
