White House Vs. Hollywood

By S.H.Moulana - Riyadh

The US White House can give Hollywood a good run for money in producing such exciting box office productions as it has done in the recent past.

It gave its citizens and the world the unforgettable ‘Watergate’, ‘Iran-Contra’, ‘Monica Lewinsky’ and now the Alfred Hitchcock styled ‘Spy movie’!

In 1977 under Richard Nixon’s presidency five men were caught breaking into the Democrat National Headquarters located at the Watergate business complex.

In 1980 during Ronald Reagan’s presidency several individuals were implicated in the Iran-Contra scandal.

Basically, money that had been obtained through selling arms to Iran was given secretly to the revolutionary Contras in Nicaragua.

Then we had the all-time romantic production in 1998 with the hero Bill Clinton. He was involved with an intimate affair with Monica Lewinsky, a White House staffer.

To beat all previous releases, in 2013, Obama is producing a top spy suspense, but the shooting still continues…... US intelligence officials are infuriated by the Obama administration claims that it didn’t know the National Security Agency was tapping the phones of foreign leaders, calling the denial a ridiculous attempt by the White House to distance itself from sensitive operations, it is now embarrassed by.

Any way yet another movie is under production by the White House and a spy one at that! Look out for the grand release!
