Famous Philanthropic NGO Markazul Ma’arif Loses its Vice President

New Delhi, Thursday, December 05, 2013: vice president of Markazul Ma’arif Hojai, Assam, (NGO) Maulana Abdul Hasib Saheb (71) passed away today at 2: 30 pm at his official residence in Hojai.

He was a great Islamic scholar, dynamic social worker and a man of powerful insight. Due to his popularity and kind attitude, he was affectionately called ‘Mamu Ji’. Since the inception of Markaz in 1982,

Mamu Ji had devoted himself for the service of humanity. Through this platform, he had been rendering his selfless services to the community and the country till he breathed his last.

In recognition of his services, he was conferred on the ‘Life Achievement Gold Trophy Award’ by Mr. Amiruddin Ajmal CEO, Ajmal group of companies in the ‘Ajmal CSR Educational Conclave 2013’ held on December 1.

A man of clean instinct and jolly mind, Maulana was a very righteous person and strong adherent to the Sunnah of the Prophet (saws). On hearing the sad news of his demise, the founder and patron of Markazul Ma’arif, Maulana Badruddin Ajmal expressed his anguish and grief and said, “His demise marks a big loss for the state and for us too.”

He is survived by four sons, Maulana Abdullah, Maulana Abdur Rahman Qasmi, Maulana Abdur Rahim Qasmi, Maulana Abdur Rab Qasmi and three daughters; while he had already lost his wife in 2007. May his soul find peace and contentment in Jannatul Firdous! His funeral prayer will be performed tomorrow (6 Dec.) in Eiadgaah Ground of Hojai, Assam at 11 am.
