Carleton Preschool concert, Hambantota.

The yearend concert of Carleton preschool Hambantota Branch was held yesterday (8th December 2013) at Magam Ruhunu International Conference Centre.

Upon invitations by First Lady Madam Shiranthi Wickramasinghe Rajapakse, the executive Directress of the Carleton cluster school, H. E. the President, his Excellency, Mahinda Rajapakse graced the occasion as the chief guest.

The concert was of very high standard and the students received encouragement and praise from the president.

Todays' child is tomorrows Leader is the theme of the Carlton pre school. The school aims at giving a solid foundation to the children and to bring out their natural talent.

Madam Rajapakse started the school as a small project way back in 1986 at Rajapakse Home 'The Carlton' at Tangalle with a few students. Today, the school has 700 students and still growing.

The Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, H.E. Nobuhito Hobo and Madam graced the occasion as special invitees. Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, Chief Minister for Southern Province Shan Wijayalal de Silva, Chairman of Southern Provincial Council Mr. Somawanse Kodagoda and many other invitees participated.
