Sri Lanka’s Smile – Photographic Exhibition by Knut Stritzke in Leipzig, Germany

Berlin, 08 July, (Asiantribune.com):

The Grassi Ethnological Museum in Leipzig has inaugurated a photographic Exhibition named “Sri Lankas Lächeln” – Sri Lanka’s smile – on 23rd May 2014 and will host this exhibition up to 23rd August 2014.

The Exhibition consists of photographs taken by the renowned German Photographer Knut Stritzke and shows a series of portraits and landscape impressions of Sri Lanka.

Photographer Knut Stritzke travelled with his camera across Sri Lanka in 2007 and captured photographs in his own unique styles, he used ordinary people and the nature for his subject. For Knut Strizke, Sri Lanka was “an incredibly intense experience, a country of friendliness, where I travelled with an open mind, and the truth was captured at the right time and moment in my camera”, as the artist recalled in his address on occasion of the exhibition.

The exhibition was organized with the support by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin, and the Ambassador of Sri Lanka for Germany, Mr. Sarrath Kongahage, inaugurated the exhibition.
