Double drubbings for Brazil!

By S.H.Moulana Riyadh

All Brazil fans are thoroughly disappointed with its performance in the playoff for the third place. Netherland added more miseries to the home team with a 3-0 victory, like adding insult to injury.

This is just another embarrassment for the home side and particularly for their coach Luz Felipe Scolan as the final whistle was greeted with deafening boos!

So Brazil bowed out in defeat conceding 10 goals in just two games.

While the Brazil players were hanging around the ground looking unsure what to do, there were plenty of high fives and hugs among the Dutch counterparts.

A big smile was visibly seen across the face of Lous van Gaal. His tenure as the Netherland coach finishes with a win.

All what Brazil need now is to rebuild its team. They are like England lacking world class players except for Neymar.

As the BBC commentator puts it ‘The wheels have fallen off Brazil’s competition in a big way. Netherlands get third and deservedly so.’ We know how hard it will be for those in power in Brazil, after spending an enormous amount of money and hard work despite the continuous protests by a large section of its citizens.

Had Brazil done well in the competition it would have been some consolation for the rulers.
What can we say now other than ‘hard luck’!
