Mannar Bishop admitted in the ICU in Colombo

Colombo, 04 May, (Asiantribune.com):

Most Rev. Dr. Rayappu Joseph, Bishop of the Mannar Diocese who was on his way to Colombo to meet US Secretary of State John Kerry, was admitted to Colombo National Hospital after he collapsed.

Source said the Bishop had suffered a stroke.

According to sources from Bishop’s House Mannar he is undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the National Hospital Colombo.

Asian Tribune learnt that Most Rev. Dr. Rayappu Joseph, Bishop of the Mannar Diocese is currently receiving treatment at the ICU of Colombo National Hospital due to an internal hemorrhage in the brain.

Deputy Director of the National Hospital’s ICU Doctor Kapila Wickramanayake told that his condition is not critical.
