Rishad assists Welioya devotees for Jasmine Offering

Colombo, 30 July, (Asiantribune.com):

More than 400 Buddhist families of Welioya Sinhala Division were assisted by Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen to take part in the grand scale Pichchamal Pooja event held in Anuradhapura.

The devoted families of Welioya who were looking forward to attend 25 July grand scale Pichchamal Pooja event (Jasmine Flower offering event) in Anuradhapura found they were unable to proceed to fulfil their wishes as they lacked transport facilities and extra food supplies needed for the journey.

Upon learning their plight, Minister Bathiudeen immediately volunteered and arranged the essentials, enabling them to fulfil their religious vows unhindered.

Upon receiving the facilities, the thankful families departed for Anuradhapura without delay.

The Welioya devotees to Pichchamal Pooja event were led by Ven Monarawewa Dhamminda Thero.
