Concert to look forward to

By Shani Calyaneratne Karunaratne

A dancer is an individual who interprets and performs the movements set, technical ability and artistic maturity.

A concert featuring ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, jazz, tap and salsa genres will be staged during the Lionel Wendt theatre on the 30th, 31st of October and 1st November. It is by the Dance Work Centre and this will be their 15th performance spanning 30 years.

Like all previous productions of the Dance Works Centre, this year too proceeds will be in aid of SUROL, the Society for Upliftment and Rehabilitation of Persons Affected by Leprosy in Sri Lanka.

The students have worked tirelessly while constantly pushing themselves to achieve the best with the guidance of their directress Mrs. Kanthi Ranchigoda.
