President Trump blames the U.S. of (war crimes) killings in Iraq

By Daya Gamage – Asian Tribune US National Correspondent
Washington, DC. 07 February (Asiantribune.com):

The President of the United States Donald J. Trump became the first American head of state to blame his own country committing ‘war crimes’ specifically highlighting the killings in Iraq, a war which he said was against from the beginning.

In an exclusive interview with America’s major and foremost cable network FOX on Super Ball Sunday conducted by its highest-rated Bill O’Reilly, the American president – without mentioning the term ‘War Crimes’ – said lot of killing was done by the United States referring to the war in Iraq.

He raised the question: “Is America innocent?” when O’Reilly targeted the Russian president Vladimir Putin a ‘killer”.

What President Trump said was there are a lot of killers but the United States cannot blame others for ‘killings’ when the U.S. itself has committed such crimes – using a softer term ‘killings’ which he obviously meant was ‘war crimes’.

Mr. Trump was clear of his administration’s fight against terrorism in many parts of the world.

The readers are at liberty to judge what the American president declared at the O’Reilly Factor in the FOX cable network perusing the following exchange between the two.

O’Reilly: Do you respect Putin?

Trump: Yes I do

O’Reilly: Why?

Trump: I respect lot of people: that doesn’t mean I get along with him. He is a leader of his country. It is better to get along with Putin; If Russia helps us the fight against ISIS – which is a major fight – and Islamic terrorism all over the world, that’s a good thing.

O’Reilly: Putin is a killer!

Trump: There are a lot of killers. Do you think our country is so innocent? (He asked the question again) Do you think our country is so innocent?

O’Reilly: I don’t think any government leader who is a killer

Trump: Well, take a look at what we have done – We made lot of mistakes. I have been against the war in Iraq from the beginning.

O’Reilly: Mistakes are different!

Trump: Lot of mistakes – Lot of people were killed.

Candidate Donald Trump during the primary season and the general election blamed the Bush administration for invading Iraq and killing thousands of innocent civilians. As the president, Mr. Trump is still on the same page questioning whether America was innocent to point a finger at others.
