Mngala Samaraweera discusses potential investment opportunities with Ms. Fatema Sumar

Colombo, 27 July, (Asiantribune.com):

Minister of Finance & Media Mangala Samaraweera met with Deputy Vice President of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Ms. Fatema Sumar and her delegation at the Minister's office in Parliament yesterday.

State Minister of Finance Eran Wickramaratne and Mr. Deshal De Mel, Economic Adviser to the Minister of Finance was also present at the meeting.
Discussions centered on the potential investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.

Earlier, Fatema Z. Sumar, Regional Deputy Vice President U.S. Government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) signs $7.4 million grant to Sri Lanka with Secretary to the Treasury, Ministry of Finance Dr. R.H.S. Samaratunga (and U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Robert Hilto

“We are pleased to announce LKR 1.1 billion ($7.4 million) in funding that the Millennium Challenge Corporation is providing now to support the development of a compact, including identifying and analyzing specific projects for potential investment,” Sumar said.
