Fake attempts did not help him to be 'Person of the Year' again

By S.H.Moulana

The faces of five women who have spoken out about sexual harassment appear on Time magazine’s ‘Person of the Year’ -2017- front cover along with a mystery right arm.

But whose is it?

The editorial of the magazine says that belongs to an anonymous young hospital worker from Texas.

Once again Donald Trump has failed to be named Time’s ‘Person of the Year’.

In September Washington Post poll, two-thirds of Americans said the president was dividing the country.

Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany, from where Trump’s parent came to settle down in the US, declared ‘We Europeans must really take our fate into our own hands’ meaning not to depend on Trump anymore.

Trump resembles a reckless driver who drew his vehicle first to the Mexican border to erect a wall, he reversed US's commitment for Paris climate agreement, then to North Korea to eliminate his ‘rocket man’ and now to Jerusalem creating an upheaval globally for declaring that city as Israel’s undivided capital.

By this he has given kiss of death to the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, in its front-page lead story warned Jerusalem recognition could spark wide spread Arab unrest with no end in sight.

An expert on Middle East affairs, Robert Fisk has called Trump’s action is a ‘colossal blunder’.

Many world leaders including the UN chief and US ally UK have condemned it as a very unwise move.

Can anyone think of a wise thing that Trump has done since he came to power?

He gave life to KKK in the US, which is very active now, while being supportive of the other racist movements including in the UK.

Readers will remember his recent tweet in support of Britain First racist group which was condemned by all British politicians, including the prime minister.
