Sri Lanka President’s Scientific Ministry Allocations Confusing & Intriguing

By K.T.Rajasingham
Colombo, 11 May, (Asiantribune.com):

Today veteran SLFP politician A.H.M. Fowzie has been sworn in as the State Minister of National Unity and Reconciliation.

He was sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s Official Residence this morning (11), the PMD said.

Fowzie previously held the portfolio of State Minister of National Integration and Reconciliation.

The Ministry is located at No 34, Narahenpita Road, Nawala and Mr. Sivagnanasothy is the Secretary to the Ministry.

This was under the Sri Lankan President. What has happened to this Ministry, nobody knows. Up to now Sri Lankan President has not made either a statement or else a Gazette notification regarding this Ministry.

It is intriguing to note that there is no Ministry presently called National Unity and Reconciliation.

In the last cabinet reshuffle the subject of Reconciliation was was allocated to Mano Ganeshan. He is today the Minister of National Co-existence, Reconciliation and Official Languages.

A.H.M. Fowzie has been made the State Minister for a non-existing Ministry.

Sri Lanka President earlier announced Ministry subjects are allocated effectively and scientifically.

Unfortunately it is not so.
