Muslim MPs in a special meeting on NCM

Colombo, 11 July, (Asiantribune.com):

The Muslim MPs in Sri Lanka Parliament are in a special meeting at this moment.

The debate on the No Confidence Motion brought by JVP against the government's failure to prevent Easter Sunday bombings is taking place at this moment and the vote is expected to take place around 6.30pm.

Muslim MPs are meeting together ahead of the vote, "to agree on a collective decision as to how to vote" sources close to Muslim leaders said. It is widely believed that their vote will be against the NCM, supporting the government.

So far key Muslim MPs such as Rishad Bathiudeen or Rauff Hakeem have not spoken during the debate.
