Sri Lanka: First COVID – 19 Patient Passed Away.

Colombo, 28 March, (Asiantribune.com):

A 65-year-old COVID-19 patient from Marawila who was undergoing treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH), Angoda, has passed away today, the Health Ministry said. It was reported that the patient was a diabetic who had undergone a kidney transplant.

Patients Increased 110

In the meantime, the total number of COVID-19 patients in Sri Lanka has increased to 110, the Ministry of Health said.

Four COVID-19 patients have been identified in the country so far today, recording a total number of 110 infected persons, says the Ministry of Health.

These four cases include the patient who tested positive for the coronavirus earlier today.

Recovery

It was also reported that two patients who contracted the virus had made a complete recovery today, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 9.

Meanwhile, more than 190 patients suspected of contracting the virus are under observation at selected hospitals across the country.
