117 Confirmed COVID – 19 Cases In The Country

The Ministry of Health states that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country have increased up to 117.

Two new cases were detected yesterday late evening taking the total number of patients detected in Sri Lanka to 117.

A total of 117 suspected cases were still in hospital and were being monitored for the virus.

Currently, Sri Lanka has 105 positive cases of coronavirus and 117 suspected patients who are under observation at selected hospitals.

In the meantime, a total number of 11 patients have recovered from the deadly virus so far.

According to the situation report issued by the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry this morning, 117 persons who are suspected to have contracted the virus are currently under observation at selected hospitals.

The deadly virus which has now claimed the lives of more than 33976 across the world and more than 722088 active cases are reported globally.

USA reports a total of 142,070 positive cases with 2484 cases of deaths, but Italy has 97,689 positive cases with reported deaths of 10,779.

China it seems the pandemic attack is receding with a total positive cases of 81, 4y76 and deaths of 3304, but in the meantime Spain reports of 80,110 positive cases and 6803 deaths, anyhow India’s rates are slowly creeping up and it has been reported of 1024 positive cases and 27 deaths
