Colombo, 21 May, (Asiantribune.com):

The Presidential Task Force at the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) had a session of discussion on 20 May, together with experts and other stakeholders at the NOCPCO in Rajagiriya.

The discussion was co-chaired by Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarchchi, Head of the NOCPCO, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Director General Health Services Dr. Anil Jasingha, and Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government J. J. Rathnasiri.

The members of the discussion evaluated updates and touched on the question of continued health safety for the general public.

Discussions focused on the possibilities of legalizing general health rules for the benefit of the general public and promotion of health tourism across the country as a viable alternative to attract tourists in the future.

They also took stock of the status quo, risks persisting, the conduct of PRC tests, the arrival of expatriates and the progress of ongoing preventive work, quarantine procedures, movements of cured patients, outside developments and weather impacts, and present status of the epidemic.

Stay Safe, Stay at Home, Stay Informed, But Don't Forget to Wash Your Hands.
