The total number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka rose to 1,141

Colombo, 25 May, (Asiantribune.com):

The total number of coronavirus patients detected in Sri Lanka rose to 1,141 today.

A total of 52 people were detected with the virus in Sri Lanka today.

The Ministry of Health said that 48 Sri Lankans who returned from Kuwait who are undergoing mandatory quarantine in Trincomalee had been detected with the coronavirus today (Sunday).

One patient is reported to be a Navy Sailor while another is reported to have arrived in the country from Indonesia.

Meanwhile, 674 of these coronavirus patients have been discharged from hospitals so far upon complete recovery.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry says that 457active cases are currently under medical care at selected hospitals.

The country’s death toll due to coronavirus currently stands at 09.
