Sri Lanka- COVID19 tally rose to 1,797

Colombo, 05 June, (Asiantribune.com):

Sri Lanka has detected 48 positive cases of COVID-19 on Thursday (04) as the infections count moved up to 1,797, says the Department of Government Information.

Out of this total, 42 have been confirmed from Sri Lanka Navy – 32 from Kandakadu Quarantine Centre (QC), 3 from Oluvil QC, 5 from Iyakachchi QC, one from Mihintale QC and another navy man under quarantine.

The remaining 6 patients are imported cases – 3 returnees from India at Katukeliyawa QC, one returnee from Dubai at Giragama QC and 2 returnees from Bangladesh at Wadduwa and Diyatalawa QCs.

A total of 947 patients infected with Covid-19 are currently under medical care at hospitals while 839 patients have recovered and have been discharged.

So far 830 Navy personnel have been infected with the Coronavirus and 420 of them have made complete recovery and have been discharged from hospital. Another 410 Navy personnel are still receiving treatment at selected hospitals.
