COVID 19 in Sri Lanka: Tally Rises to 2,037

Colombo, 29 June, (Asiantribune.com):

Government Information Department revealed that 04 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Sunday (June 28) night thus taking the tally of virus-positive cases in Sri Lanka to 2,037.

“The 04 cases were a returnee each from Bangladesh, Kuwait, India and Pakistan and they were quarantined at the Waskaduwa quarantine facility, Trincomalee, Diyathalawa and at the Waikkal quarantine facility, respectively,” the Government Information Department noted.

Currently, 365 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals, as per the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry.

Meanwhile, with 22 more regaining health, count of recoveries reported in the country to hiked to 1,661.

Sri Lanka has witnessed 11 deaths from the virus thus far.
