Colombo, 07 March, (Asiantribune.com): Norway plays a neutral role stressed Norwegian Ambassador in Sri Lanka. This was the reaction of the Ambassador Hans Brattskar following a statement from Anandasangaree, President of the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF), said to be widely reported in the media in Sri Lanka.

Norwegian Ambassador Hans Brattskar in a statement released to the press, stressed how important it is for Norway, as the facilitator, to have close contacts with the parties to the peace process in Sri Lanka.

Earlier Anandasangaree has criticised Norway for having met with the LTTE in Oslo.

Norwegian Ambassador in his statement said that it was therefore his hope that representatives of both the Government of Sri Lanka and the LTTE would visit Norway and maintain contacts with the Norwegian Government.
