[b]Islamabad, 06 January (Asiantribune.com): [/b]President General Pervez Musharraf has expressed gratitude for Thai assistance in the wake of deadly earthquake in Pakistan, saying Islamabad and Bangkok enjoy excellent bilateral relations which would be further strengthened through increased commerce and trade cooperation.

At a ceremony to handover relief goods by the Thai Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorm for quake-affected people at Aiwan-e-Sadr (Presidency) here Thursday General Pervez Musharraf said Pakistan and Thailand stand very close to each other in political, economic and diplomatic fields and this gesture would further strengthen the bonds of friendship.

The Thai Crown Prince said that he has come to convey sorrow and condolences of the King and the people of Thailand over the loss of lives in the natural disaster.

He expressed the hope that this assistance would help provide relief to the quake affecters.
