By Iqbal Hussain Khan Yousafzai – Reporting from Islamabad

Islamabad, 01 February, (Asiantribune.com): Pakistan and India on Tuesday signed an agreement to restart a second cross-border train service on February 18, more than 40 years after the rail link was snapped during a war between the South Asian neighbors, officials said.

The agreement for the train service, which will run between Munabao in India and Khokhrapar in Pakistan, was concluded by senior railway officials from the two countries at a two-day meeting that concluded in Islamabad on Tuesday.

A joint statement issued after the signing ceremony says the Thar express will run every Saturday and return the same day.
