[b]Islamabad, 04 February, (Asiantribune.com):[/b] The Senate, upper house of Parliament in Pakistan, Friday strongly condemned the publication of blasphemous and derogatory cartoon against the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in a Danish Daily Jyllands Posten which has hurt the faith and feelings of Muslims all over the world.

A resolution moved by leader of the house, Waseem Sajjad, was unanimously adopted. The resolution noted that a number of European newspapers have and are continuing to target Muslims and Islam in various manners despite Muslims protests.

"The Senate of Pakistan condemns in the strongest terms the deliberate and concerted actions on the part of European media in general and Danish daily in particular of publishing blasphemous and derogatory cartoons against the Prophet of Islam, which has hurt the faith and feeling of Muslims all over the world," the text of the resolution said.
