[b]Islamabad, 01 April, (Asiantribune.com): [/b]President General Pervez Musharraf has said that Pakistan was actively promoting cooperation in the region and has been striving to make SAARC a dynamic vehicle for development.

He was addressing a banquet hosted in honor of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse in Islamabad on Friday night.

He said the conclusion of South Asian Free Trade Agreement is a milestone on the road to regional prosperity.
