[b] Islamabad, 21 December, (Asiantribune.com): [/b]Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf and U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney have expressed the firm resolve to further boost their multi-faceted ties on long term basis.

During a meeting at the Presidency, lasting more than an hour, the two leaders expressed their satisfaction over the existing bilateral political and economic relations.

They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern.

U.S. Vice President Cheney expressed his country's solidarity and support over October 8th earthquake catastrophe and said Washington would continue to assist Pakistan in its rebuilding efforts in the quake zone.

He conveyed sorrow and grief over colossal losses on behalf of President Bush and the American nation.
