By Iqbal Hussain Khan Yousafzai - Reporting from Islamabad

Islamabad, 09 March, (Asiantribune.com): Pakistan has rejected the Indian demarche regarding the construction of Bhasha dam.

A statement issued by the Pakistan Foreign office in Islamabad on Wednesday said Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory. Its disputed status was established by the United Nations Security Council resolutions and subsequent resolutions by the United Nation's Commission on India and Pakistan.

The statement said that this disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir remains unchanged. There are bilateral declarations and agreements between Pakistan and India to find a final settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. At present the two countries are engaged in Composite Dialogue to address this dispute.
