[b]Colombo, 25 January, (Asiantribune.com): [/b]Subramaniam Sugurdarajan from Orr’s Hill, Lower Road Trincomalee was shot and killed yesterday at about 6.45 am. He was an employee in the security division of the Ports Authority in Trincomalee. He was shot dead by unidentified men close to his residence while waiting for transport to his workplace.

The victim, 35-year old Subramaniam Sugirtharajan, a father of two and his residence is located along the Lower Road facing the Trincomalee harbor in the suburb of Orr's Hill in Trincomalee.

According to the Sri Lanka Army’s official website, "He has just left his residence for work when gunmen on a motorbike confronted him and shot at him."

The Army website further added "Those gunmen immediately after the criminal act fled the area."
