Colombo, 17 January, ( In a blunt dismissal of the statements made against TamilEela Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TEMVP) by Ms. Helen Olafsdottir, the spokeswoman for the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission in Colombo, V. Muralitharan nom de guerre, Col. Karuna, head of the TEMVP told the Asian Tribune that 1) she can't substantiate the allegation of blaming the TEMVP for the breakdown of the Ceasefire Agreement because Prabhakaran had walked out of the peace talks in 2003 and violated the Ceasefire Agreement long before Karuna quit in 2004; 2) she must get her facts and perspectives right about TEMVP and stop propagandizing to please the Scandinavian master and Prabhakaran and 3) Prabhakaran must punish his sex-crazy commanders who rape innocent Tamil cadres and Tamil women

We are not a para-military group as alleged in an interview given by Ms. Helen Olafsdottir, the spokesperson of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission. We are an organization which believes in democracy, and pluralism and we represents the Tamils of this country, unlike the Vanni Tigers who have been reduced to the position of mercenaries, beating their chest for hard currencies to wage the next round of violence. They raise their voice to a high pitch complaining about the services that are readily available whenever they are paid by the different international organizations and Governments.
