Prabakaran’s intended blitzkrieg in the East against Karuna

Prabakaran’s intended blitzkrieg in the East against Karuna is on the hold

Colombo, 16 November, (Asiantribune. com): A major flare up is imminent in Eastern Sri Lanka with the LTTE getting ready to launch a big attack on Colonel Karuna’s cadres, a splinter group from the Tamil separatist organisation of Sri Lanka. According to reliable information received by the “Asian Tribune” from Eastern Sri Lanka, LTTE leader Velupillai Pirabaharan has despatched a strong force of 400 battle hardened LTTE cadres armed with recently shipped modern weapons with instructions to search and destroy Karuna’s men.

LTTE leader reportedly assembled this strong strike force over the past few weeks by sending his fighters in small batches via Trincomalee on a jungle track from LTTE headquarters in Vanni. They were reportedly ready to launch the attack about 15 days ago.

The plan was to launch the strike just before Presidential elections. The LTTE leader even instructed his fighters to attack the Sri Lankan military if they intervened on behalf of Karuna cadres.

Pirapaharan had reportedly assured his cadres he would not mind triggering the next Eelam war with the Sri Lankan Armed Forces if they had to counter attack the Sri Lankan military in the event the latter intervened on behalf of Karuna cadres.
